About Us

We are a small family operated farm in the rural town of Heflin, Alabama.

Let's start this blog with some intros and a little about us on a normal day....

Hi I'm Tiffaine 👋 the mom, wife, crafter, farmer and crazy person behind all of this. My husband Tommy, drives our semi truck for our truck business 4t Trucking, LLC. Sadly this means he is gone for long periods at a time. Leaving me at home with our two children, Tommy and Trista. Hence the "4t" in all of our business names.

My husband and I met back in fall of 2001 during marching band in Miami, Florida. Yup you read that right! 2 band kids from Miami grew up to be small town hobby farmers in the middle of nowhere Alabama. Trust me when I say nobody including me ever expected that! Our son was born in Dallas, Texas in 2008 and our daughter was born in Gadsden, Alabama in 2013. Most of our family is still in Miami and we try to go down as often as possible. But as you can imagine running 2 businesses and a farm makes it a bit difficult but we make do.

Our daughter Trista has always had super sensitive skin and tummy so just before her first birthday in 2014 we decided to get a pair of goats to give her fresh goats milk and eventually one day soaps. Now that she is older she can now tolerate cows milk but her skin is still super sensitive and breaks out in a nasty itchy rash with any store bought soaps. Now that she is older she loves to help me make soap. She doesn't mess with the lye but she loves to help design and picking the colors for all our soaps.

On a normal day we start our day just before dawn with getting all 10 dogs out and fed then off to the barn to feed everyone else. Once the barn is done we have breakfast, coffee and school work. Then we decide what needs to happen on the house and farm that day. Whether it be cleaning the bathrooms or cleaning horse stalls that day it all has to get done at some point in the week. On days my husband is home we tackle the big projects together as a family. In the evening we get the barn fed and closed up for the night then dinner. After we finish eating is usually when I'm able to sit down and work on orders and crafting. So im typically up late every night.

Winter is our off season as you can imagine it's basically all about keeping everyone warm, dry and healthy. The rest of the year is always a bit more chaotic but it's a lot of fun! This year we have a LOT of plans for our little 20 acres and can't wait to bring you all along for the ride!

If there is anything yall would like to see or learn about feel free to ask!
