All about our Goats and the benefits of their milk

At 4t Farms we raise American Pygmy Goats because they are small, stocky and heavy boned goats that produce plenty of nutrient rich milk. Fully grown they typically get to be around 16-20 inches tall and weigh around 55-90 pounds making them easier to handle.
We currently have a small herd of 6 goats. Our buck Mickey and his girlfriends Minnie, Patsie and Jessie.
If you are a member of 4t Craft House VIP Group you were able to participate in a game to name our kids.
All of our goats have been bottle raised and are super friendly because of it.
Mickey is our herd buck and a little dancer, he loves to run around dancing and following us around like a little puppy dog.
Minnie is queen of the herd and makes sure everyone knows it.
Patsie is the quiet shy one that will sneak in some loving when nobody is paying attention. Kenny is her 2021 kid.
Frank is a neutered Nubien Goat so no babies for this big snuggle buddy. Jessie is Frank's best friend and she is a Pygmy Goat who will be helping with our fresh goat milk production in the spring.
Now that you have mett our little herd
Lets talk about Goats Milk in Soap...

What is Goats Milk Soap? Well its exactly what it sound like! Soap made with goats milk. Most soaps the lye is combined with water then added to a mix of oils and fats. However when making goats milk soap, we use goats milk rather than water, which creates a bubbly and creamy soap.

6 Benefits of Goats Milk Soap that you may not know...

1- Goats milk soap has high amounts of fats which makes for a gentle removal of dirt and debris from your skin that doesn't remove the skins natural oils.
2- Goats milk is also full of nutrients such as fatty acids, cholesterol and vitamin A. These all help to keep your skin from becoming dry and irritated.
3- Goats milk is known to improve dry skin by helping to maintain the lipid barrier of the skin which retains moisture.
4- Goats milk contains natural Alpha-hydroxy Acids (AHAs) which are used to treat a variety of skin conditions, such as scars, age spots and hyperpigmentation, due to their natural ability to exfoliate. Lactic acid found in goats milk is a gentle AHA which makes it perfect for those with sensitive skin.
5- Due to its gentle dirt removing properties goats milk soap doesn't strip your skin's natural lipids or healthy bacteria. A healthy microbiome helps your skin fight pathogens, potentially preventing various skin disorders like acne and eczema. Lactobacillus is also found in goats milk which has been shown to have an anti-inflammatory effect in the body.
6- The lactic acid found in goats milk is a natural exfoliant that gently removes dead skin cells, which can help prevent acne by keeping pores clean of dirt, oil and excess sebum.

In short goats milk soap is gentle and helps maintain the skins natural moisture, unlike commercial soaps that contain harsh ingredients that can dry out your skin causing excess oil production and clogging your pores.
*Please keep in mind that everyone is different and acne treatment varies from person to person so what works for one person may not work for another.*

Goats milk soap is a gentle soap with many benefits. Its creaminess helps condition the skin and keep it moisturized. While the lactic acid helps maintain a clean and clear skin.
If your looking for a soap that is gentle and helps keep your skin moisturized and healthy then Goats Milk Soap may be just what your looking for!
